Formerly known as the MRB
Purpose:
The Doctorates shall serve as the grievance committee for the caste.
The Doctorates shall offer continued help to the general membership by participating in caste lectures, seminars and classes.
The Doctorates shall assist the Third Chair in assuring that all apprentice healers in their city/region have a mentor/sponsor.
Membership:
Membership shall be considered under each of the following requirements:
1. Has been a member in good standing for three [3] mun years.
2. Has received a recommendation for membership by two (2) current Doctorates.
3. Has agreed to the duties and responsibilities of being a Doctorate.
Grievance Committee:
The committee shall be made up of the Caste Judge and all caste Doctorates.
The caste Judge shall serve as Chair over this committee and coordinate its efforts.
The Caste Judge shall be contacted to file a submission or petition. Grievances should be accompanied by supporting logs. No log - no case.
[The GC Judge shall decide whether a complaint is to be brought before the committee in the first place, to establish their validity in order to prevent petty tattle telling, slanderous complaints, complaints without documentation and plain differences of RPing opinions from reaching the Doctorates.]
Review:
When a grievance is filed, the Caste Judge shall review the matter and determine:
1) If the issue is really a grievance with supporting documents.
2) If efforts have been made to resolve this issue prior to appeal to the Doctorates.
3) Whether the Administration and/or Green Caste of a City has already dealt adequately with the issue.
4) Whether or not to bring the matter before the Doctorates.
The members shall review the material and, if needed, the Judge will call a board meeting for discussion. Discussion will otherwise be conducted through scroll, with all Doctorates being allowed time to respond with their opinion. Recommendations will be discussed and approved by the committee.
The Committee shall, if needed, question the parties involved and allowing each to present their side by submitting their questions to the Caste Judge who shall interview the parties and returning the results to the Doctorates for their consideration.
Response:
The committee will discuss a grievance and recommend a course of action or reaction. Actions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Warning to parties involved, suggesting ways to correct the problem.
- Requiring retraining by a mentor or GC Doctorate.
- Placing parties on suspension and/or Caste ignore.
- Expulsion of parties from the Caste. The decision to expel a member/members from the caste shall be by unanimous decision.
At all times the MRB should attempt to start with the least restrictive measures, allowing parties to correct or prevent further occurrences.
The Caste Judge shall announce the ruling of the Doctorates to the parties involved in the grievance.
NOTICE: All decisions of the Grievance Committee are of an IC nature and final.
