The day you were born I felt such a solid connection to you, I had never felt like that before. I learned that you were my trial-run for having a daughter. You taught me patience, quick reflexes, and how to love another so unconditionally. God put you in my path for a purpose and though I may never know what the purpose is specifically, I do know that you’ve been the sun shine on a cloudy day, the voice of reason, and the best Twilight buddy ever!

From the tender age of 4 making your own peanut butter and way-too-much-jelly sandwich’s to being this independent, strong, smart, lovable woman who is blooming into the most exquisite flower in the garden. You’ve reassured me that you’re going to come out of your pauper childhood just fine. Yes, you’ve earned some scars along the way and you had to grow up way too fast, but your decision making process has proved to be right on target. Some could say you’ve “made some bad decisions” or “she’s a teenager” but ultimately, I have faith in you Angel. You know what’s best for you and you know who to rely on to help you. God and your family. I’ve spent many nights worrying for you, trying to figure out what I could do for you to make life easier or less stressful and we’ve spent many hours and many nights together going over your past, your future and where to go from here.

There are so many bumpy roads that lye ahead of you and many more tough decisions, but if there is one thing that you have learned is, trust. Trust yourself and have faith. I want you to have all the wonderful experiences that the world has for you. But you won’t be able to appreciate them if you don’t spread your wings and fly. Like a good book, it’s the journey to the end that makes it all worth while. I don’t know what is in store for you my dear, but I do know that I will always be here for you…ALWAYS!

You have what it takes to make your dreams come true and now you get to put your “tools” to work. Your prom helped me to see what a beautiful butterfly you turned in to. So go head and let your hair down. You’re gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow. Walk across that stage with your head held high and spread those wings and soar baby! Make your mark on this planet and let it be known that you can do whatever you set your heart on.

Love Always,

“Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So… get on your way.”– Dr. Seuss

  1. You did it like I knew you would. You’ve grown up way to fast for me to even keep track of your milestones. Hell I can still remember a 2yr. old little girl rolling down the stairs, because little Angel hsd to climb out of her bed to watch T.V. with her big brother. Congrats to the little Angel on her huge accomplishment. You’ve made me the proudest big brother in the world kiddo.

  2. So sweet. Angel you have a great! cousin. You’re blessed.
Keep your eyes on the sun and you will always have peace.
